The second-largest art museum in the canton of Vaud, housed in a neoclassical building on the shores of Lake Geneva since 1897. Its collections span six centuries of drawing, printmaking, and painting (over 40,000 prints, 11,000 drawings, and 1,600 paintings) including one of Switzerland's five most important graphic arts cabinets and the world's largest body of works by Oskar Kokoschka.
The trilingual website serves as both a visitor-facing gateway and a window into the museum's deep, layered identity: rotating temporary exhibitions, permanent collection highlights, the dedicated Pavillon de l'estampe, event programming, and an online collection. A structure that reflects the institution's dual nature — intimate scale, serious holdings.
